Then why did you claim she's Julie Bove? You had to have checked the
post properties to see the name "julie" before you jumped to "Nellie"
equals "Julie Bove". A rather irrational conclusion, as it turns out.

Sheldon... I think you need to relax. I really don't think Nellie
wanted to get in touch with me for a nefarious reason. I did want to
know the 'why' of it when she asked here. She explained it.

Very simple, I saw the name Julie pop up when clicking to reply
and Bove is the only Julie I know of who posts here. The only reason
I clicked to reply was to see what name popped up as the poster wrote
no email addie yet asked you to email her.

You couldn't see my email address yet another poster could.

Okay... I get that. Kinda sorta. Except Julie Bove doesn't constantly
nymshift or change email addresses. Why on earth would she start
calling herself Nellie and ask me to email her? Answer: she wouldn't.

More importantly, why did it matter to you who was pinging me? I sort
of came into this in the middle. Yes, I saw Nellie pinged me. Before I
ever read her post I saw your weird claim it's Julie [Bove]. You
weren't the one being ping'd. Why did you bother to check it?

Nellie (an online nickname) didn't have to post an email address because
it's obvious hers isn't munged. I (anyone) could have simply emailed
her and vice versa. She was being polite. I have ping'd a few people
over the last few years asking them to please email me.

For example, last year I ping'd Gary. It was for advice on repainting
my metal front door. I'm sure he'll confirm that. He lives in a
similar climate and he knows about house paint. It was totally off
topic for RFC so we took it to email.

I've pinged a few other people for various reasons. In no instance did
I have to include my email address in the post.

That you didn't recognize the online nickname "Nellie" is of no
consequence. Why did you hit "reply" to try to figure out who was
pinging me? Looking out for my best interests? I don't really need a
net nanny.

The real question is why he bothered to check. Why does he care who
ping'd me and why? Is he in charge of who is allowed to ping me? He's
somehow 'outing' you as someone else? How silly is this?

I said someplace else in this silly thread I'm sorry if I blew you off.
Feel free to email me.

Different newsreaders work differently... I only saw your email
address when I clicked reply.

Anyway are you planning on staying awhile and contributing on topic?
Whereabouts do you reside... I see PST so you must be somewhere on the
Left coast.

I asked myself the same question but then remembered that Julie
recently ventured into a whole new life... and knowing Julie Bove. . .
anything is possible and with no rhyme or reason.

Not to bust your bubble but you had not a whit to do why I decided to
see who this Nellie is... I was curious about the new blood and what
they might contribute to RFC, especially since the RFC population is
rapidly shrinking... not the old blood. I also am interested in
peppermills and any other culinary mechanisms/tools. I would hope
this Nellie becomes a regular RFCer, but somehow I think that won't
occur, especially since she hasn't posted in many years.

That's you, I don't do that. The last few posters who I used to
exchange email with and who I thought were my friends ended up
stabbing me in the back. I wised up and no longer want any net
friends, they're not worth my time and energy... I no longer do
private email with usenet posters, anyone wants discussion with me can
do so via public posts. This way with a public record they can't
later lie about what ensued.

I wouldn't have pinged Gary, i know that his job is housepainting so
all I'd do is post about planning to paint something and lo and
behold he'd automatically arrive with all sorts of advice, same as he
did when I mentioned painting my diesel tank. Truth is I don't seek
advice here about anything anymore, anything I need to know I can
research myself... in all the years I've been posting here I've not
once requested any food/cooking info, the net is bulging with recipes
and food info. To be perfectly honest RFC has become one of the last
places I'd seek cooking/food info.

Jill, your ego is bursting. Everything you post is always all about
Jill. Do you really think everyone is needing you, I certainly
don't... you played absolutely no part in my curiosity about
Nellie.... actually I was hoping she was the long ago Italian pierced
ears Nellie whose mother had huge bosoms. Nellie was a popular
Italian name for girls back in the '40s. Nellie, did you ever live on
54th St off 16th Ave, Brooklyn? I lived there until I was ten and so
did that Nellie.

Sounds like *yoose* is lonely and needs to go sit on yer terlit and
masturbate PenFart. Take an old picture of nellie's mammy's big hooters
from 65 years ago, to look at while on the throne. Yoose might be able
to splatter yoose ceiling!

Yoose also *ONLY* posts about *yoose* ... 'bout yoose sex stuff. 'bout
them homos yoose hates. 'bout how everything yoose does is perfect, and
the only way to do things. 'Bout yoose RO sewer water, 'bout yoose
crystal palace, bout yoose yoose yoose yoose yoose!

Jill doesn't constantly post ridiculous crap like *yoose*. I'm sure she
finds yoose pretty darn creepy, but has become so accustomed to your
slobbering here that she doesn't give yoose the attention yoose really
deserve ... a kick to the groin.
