Crispy Viet-Thai wings.

Seasoned wings tossed in potato starch and fried up really crisp.
Tossed in a sauce of nuoc mam cham, Mae Ploy sweet chile garlic sauce,
rice vinegar, extra garlic, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Then sprinkled
with chopped Thai bird chiles, Hot, sour, salty, sweet, and savory.

He still maintains he can buy whole roasters for 89 cents/lb. I haven't
seen a price like that in 20 years.

From the Publix Weekly ad (yes, it was coinciding with the Superbowl):
Publix Chicken Wings USDA Grade A, Vegetarian Fed*, 4-lb or More pkg.
(Items shown prepared with additional ingredients, which are not
included.) $2.69/lb.

You added the additional ingredients. Looks fine to me even though I'm
not a big fan of mae ploy. Looks like you added a sprinkling of sesame
seeds?

Sheldon wouldn't eat anything like that. So he'll pooh-pooh and
criticize and talk about Tex-ass as if he knows what your chicken wings
taste like.

Hey! Publix has King's Hawaiian Rolls on sale thru 2/6, 12 oz. pkg. 2
for $6. LOL

Frugality

Aunt Lee Geok's Roast Chicken - whole by avlxyz on Flickr!A few days
ago, I was inspecting the whole chickens that were on sale at the local
grocery store. The price was quite nice €“ $0.88 a pound €“ and although
it was a different brand of chicken than what I usually buy, I was
considering making the purchase (we tend to buy free range chickens,
which cost more).

Just then, I overheard a person behind me talking about how buying a
whole chicken was a €œwaste of money€ because youre paying for parts you
dont use. This lady immediately bought a two pack of chicken breasts
which €“ lo and behold €“ cost about as much as the whole four pound
chicken I was looking at.

As she walked away, I couldnt help but smile. A whole chicken is an
incredibly frugal deal that provides the materials for several meals if
youre sensible about it. Heres the game plan for turning a whole
chicken purchase into several delicious meals.

If my husband didn't like dark meat, I'd never buy a whole chicken.
Once he's gone, it'll probably be skinless, boneless breast meat for
the rest of my life. I can get four meals out of 1 pound of them.

Wait, is he in poor health right now or something?

You seem to have planned for a terrible outcome...

Same deals here. Often Perdue Oven Stuffer roasters go on sale
for 89 cents/lb. Same with fryers. This week they offer 3lb packs
of either thighs or drums for 99 cents/lb. Also often enough will
see those 10lb bags of chicken quarters for anywhere from 49-69
cents per pound.

I have heard in this group about these bags of chicken quarters for
years, The stores I shop around here have never had them.
Unfrozen whole chicken, in a 2-pack, is always 99 cents per pound. The
legs, thighs and breast can be purchased unfrozen in 'family packs'.
These are the parts that can be very expensive and can go on sale for
99 cents for thighs or drums, breast for $1.19. Hardly ever see the
wings on sale, they're almost always at about $2.49/pound.

they look really good. I like the sound of the flavors you used in
the sauce.

You went a tad heavy with the salt on the fries.

Isn't it nice to take photos in interesting dishes you have made only to
have people bitch and complain about them.

Cheese seems emminently well-suited. It just looked too fine to be cheese.

I did not really suspect salt. I suspected a spice with which I am not
familiar.
