I'd like to hear your opinion. I'm not particularly interested in
buying another kitchen appliance but first hand reviews are always
welcomed. Beats the heck out of looking a number stars on online
sellers reviews.

I'm interested. I'm curious about how it would be different from the NuWave
Oven or the Halogen Oven.

Ok, thanks for your responses.

I like it a lot! It is a timed, enclosed grill which browns the food
beautifully all over and makes the skin lovely and crispy.

Here is my machine as it is working:

http://tinypic.com/r/15rdszp/9

Today was a first attempt so ... lot of things to learn.

I cooked a whole chicken which turned out to be a bit too big. After a
while I cut off the legs and cooked them in the machine separately and they
were really good.

http://tinypic.com/r/23ixy80/9

Here it is with the sweet potato chips. Now I don't like sweet potatoes but
these were so delicious I will certainly cook them like this again.

http://tinypic.com/r/24xla3p/9

The timing in the recipe was all wrong and it was taking forever.

The recipes said 170c for 2 x 20 minutes. Nah!!!! Eventually I turned it
up to
200c and I got somewhere.

I can see that when I am changing the temps I need to watch carefully
because it could burn.

As i said, in the future I will either buy a smaller chicken (tbh my
rotisserie does really good whole chicken) or cook chicken parts and other
smaller meats.

I have a lot of recipes to work through yet which I will enjoy

I used a miniscule amount of oil with this:

https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-G...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

I do think it is a good way of reducing oil use (I tend to use a lot which I
don't think is too good for us

I do like it and am pleased with it. The results were delicious, if a bit
scrappy, but that is only because I was having to take parts off
during cooking)

Terry? Comments?

I have no idea, Cheri, sorry. I don't don't know how they work.

Does the nuwave move the food around? Nothing is moved in the air fryer.

That is all I can think of.

Â* I've never tried a whole chicken ... from my experience it works best
with smaller pieces of food . I did do some fairly large breast pieces
once , they turned out good but took longer than expected .

No, neither of them move the food around, just cook quickly.

Why pray tell does anyone need a special appliance to roast a whole
chicken, unless their oven is on the fritz... and really no need to
oil a whole chicken, it bastes itself from its fatty skin. I always
turn skinless boneless chick titties in cutlets, fry and drain on
paper towels. And I make oven fried spuds all the time by paring,
slicing into wedges, coating with oil, and roasting in a pan on a
screen, along with the chicken or whatever.... I see absolutely no
need for that appliance, unless one has more dollars than functioning
brain cells... and doesn't know what to do with their storage space.
Perfect oven FRIED spuds:

Perfect fried London broil:
https://postimg.org/image/wbz8z3m6j/
And since I didn't want to light my oven just for spuds at the same
time I baked dessert, pina colada:
https://postimg.org/image/9bslmabcr/
Any minute the dwarf will be by to say my steak is over cooked and
dry. I could have easily made gravy from the pan fond but we don't
like gravy.
Anyhoo those air fryers are the stupidest appliance of the century.
A waste of $180:
https://www.amazon.com/Philips-Airfr...er+prime&psc=1
If someone gifted me an air fryer I'd regift it to the Salvation Army
and take the tax deduction.

I have just looked up your NuWave oven and I don't see a lot of difference,
but I don't really know

The Air Fryer has a red hot grill thingy, which browns the food and makes
the skin crispy.

Does the food in the NW sit in it's cooking fat?

I can't think of anything else.

No, it is on a rack in the NW above the grease and also in the Halogen oven.
I use the NW a lot, the Halogen not so much simply because it is a bit
cumbersome to clean. Enjoy your air fryer Ophelia!

For the record, I never once even considered sleeping with you. And
you know that. You're the one who somehow got the idea that I was
going to move in with you - and you posted that to RFC just out of the
total blue.

After having met you twice at casual austin.food gatherings 2 or 3
years ago and not giving you any indication that there was any sort of
romantic interest in the least, you somehow twisted that into MY
MOVING IN WITH YOU?

That was just way too Psycho for me. I sat there at stared at the
screen for at least 15 minutes wondering, WTF? That was just way too
spooky. I've met weird, semi-psycho women before but you win, hands
down. Mapi of austin.general still holds the male title, but at least
he announced his psychosis right there lying on the floor of the bar
at B.D. Reilly's rather than romantically obsessing over me for 2
years.

Needless to say, you need to come to terms with what happened and why
your mind works that way and stop making up excuses for your fixation
and disappointment before we become the next Yoli and Michael. I'd
prefer you use a sniper rifle on me from a few hundred yards away.
There you go - a reason for you to buy yet another gun and ammo.

And Jeremy, I was just tired of your decade of bullshit and visions of
grandeur about all these things you're "working on" or have not done
in the past. Even posting a call for meetings with imaginary people
about imaginary projects of yours at "the normal time and place", as
if you are somebody important with a life. I'm pretty sure you're
manic depressive mixed with habitual liar.

Sorry I don't fit either of your Ideal Psycho Pal Profiles.
