While I have an ancient Kenwood (relabeled Rival) orbital stand mixer,
it rarely gets used. I'd rather have a light, portable, but strong, electric hand mixer to do some other mixing stuff. Any recommendations during this Christmas season? I have a local WW, I can order from Amazon, and I've already warned of Katom. ![]() nb |

Not sure who makes it but I can check when I get home. |

My ex taught me all about antiques. I've got a few, already. New stuff is gonna be mostly junk and that old stuff was better made. That's why it's still around. Thnx fer the tip, Wayne. ![]() I'll even include one! Put a 'smaller than' and a 'larger than' symbol (shift-, and shift-.) on each end of a long hot-link. That way, I do not hafta copy/paste 2 lines onto that first line to make it work as a single link. Works on all browsers on all platforms. Fer example: <https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Mid-Century-Dormeyer-Dormey-Model-7500-Hand-Mixer-W-Original-Beaters/263365031093?hash=item3d51c774b5:g:BGMAAOSwytJaJXy 4> Either that or jes use https://tinyurl.com/ ![]() nb |

Not expensive on Amazon at all. |

Yer agent, Xnews, seems bound and determined to kill my "tip". Note how yer agent disassembles the one long line I created and renders it back into 3 separate lines, even WITH the proper symbols on each end of the link. I've never noticed this, before. I thought it worked with all user agents (I wrongly used the term "browser"). I thought all user agents rendered the beg/end symbols, I mentioned, as one single link. Oh well, there's still https://tinyurl.com/ ![]() nb |

I have a single key I can hit and it will bring up all complete links fer me to choose. Again, yer link (even with <> at ends) leaves the single long link fragmented. IOW, when choosing the link I want to follow, I can only see the first line of yer 'link . After the seven (7), I hafta copy/paste the 2nd and 3rd lines to the first one. Yes, it is curious. I thought my trick worked with 'all' agents on 'all' platforms (I learned this trick while still using my old W98SE box). I now use Linux and have always assumed it worked across all operating systems (OS). I know Xnews is a GNKSA 2.0 compliant user agent. Why it breaks up those lines beats me! It could be worse. I regularly KF most ppl who use handheld devices, as both Android and iPhones (and GG) totally screw up Usenet standards/formatting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xnews Like I keep reiterating, you still have https://tinyurl.com/. It will leave you with an alternate link that is almost as short as its home link: https://tinyurl.com/ycqgtqec Does the above link take you to that "Dormey" Ebay website? It should. 8| Looks like I'll hafta hash this issue out on 'news.software.readers', a Usenet newsgroup, which is a newsgroup like this one and is also still fairly active (or usta be). Thnx fer listening, Wayne. ![]() BTW, I'm already 'watching' that item on Ebay and have several more under surveillance. Again, thanks. nb |

I gave my 5-speed KA to my son, so I could buy a 7-speed. It never gave me any problems.
I love it. N. |

I think the other one is an Oster. I've got a couple of stick blenders for soups. I don't really use them all that often. Jill |
