Painter : C-H-I-C-K-E-N
Barney : Ain't "chickin" spelled "i-n"? Andy : Naw, he's got it right. You remember, like back in school? "'I' before 'E' except after 'C', and 'E' before 'N' in "chicken". Barney : Oh, that's right. I always forget that rule ... : ) Sorry, I couldn't resist : ) Back from The Folks', and Mama has sent back about two pounds of, for lack of a better word, "pulled chicken". It's what didn't make it into the chickin 'n' dumplins. I want to make a nice chicken salad, but I hardly ever have. I do know that I prefer the savoury kind rather than the sweet-and-with-fruit kind. My starting place would probably be - make it like a tuna salad, with mayo and celery and onions. Does anybody have a nice, savoury chicken salad recipe that they'd like to send me to try? I'll let you know how it comes out. TIA, and Cheers : ) - Tess |
