I bought a new countertop compost bucket, I think it looks nicer than
my old one, and it has holes on top for moisture to escape plus it's screened inside with a carbon filter to reduce odor but mostly to eliminate fruit flies, and it works: http://i64.tinypic.com/155j4vd.jpg The grass seed by my gardeening shed that I've been watering has sprouted and is growing nicely, it'll be spring before I know if my two mulberry trees make it but I bet they will: http://i67.tinypic.com/ogdg9e.jpg Scraggley has a nice heated home in my gardening shed: http://i66.tinypic.com/u5uup.jpg http://i63.tinypic.com/25s9xc7.jpg The new self draining pressure tank for my well... the well is now shut down for winter so that ventless propane heater on the wall is sfor me if I need to work in thee, the tank is drained so now doesn't need heat in winter: http://i65.tinypic.com/rmis81.jpg With the furnace and oil tank gone I have a lot more space in there. Oh, now the dwarf can see my new Weber grill, only I haven't had time to assemble it, but soon... and that little work shop is a good spot as it has a nice level floor... Weber suggests assmbly on a level surface so everything comes out square, plus I have lots of my tools the http://i68.tinypic.com/2lxt20y.jpg http://i67.tinypic.com/29kyuz7.jpg I have two nice top round steaks marinating for London broil, haven't decided on go withs, but thinking braised bok choy and egg noodles. Marinade is soy sauce, ketchup, a glug of olive oil, a smidge of toasted sesame seed oil, freshly ground white peppercorns, grated ginger root, a fat clove of minced garlic, juice of half a lemon, big splash of Italian salad dressing, and a heaping Tbls of orange marmalade. Will be tomorrow's dinner. Today I will forage the fridge, may have Sabretts simmered in beer, and defrost a pint of pea soup. |
