It's my favourite type by far, my least favourite is the Russian kale, which might be the one you describe as 'red'. The texture of leaves is somehow not quite right and doesnt have the flavour of the other varieties. Just IMO. |

I have never seen red kale, but I see Cavolo Nero quite often. It's also marketed as Dinosaur Kale, and Tuscan kale here. -- I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food. |

I pick them much smaller and younger and that is what he is used to. Having said that, I have only seen them recently in the stores. I bought some and he didn't like them. I can even buy baby arugula in bags at the store. -- I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food. |
