Default I am truly eating Tex Mex now.

Opened a can of Texas Style Charro Beans. The HEB brand. They are nicely
soupy with just enough heat. I am dipping some tortilla chips in them. This
is the highlight of my meal. The rest of it is canned tamales, unwrapped and
put in a casserole. topped with chopped fresh tomatoes and strips of white
onion, green pepper and fresh chopped jalapenos. Sauce from tamales was
added. Heated through in the microwave and then topped with black olives.
Husband had cheese on his.

These are not in any way like real tamales but they are cheap and quick to
fix. I had gotten them to eat following my surgery but as it turned out, I
didn't really need to eat the soft diet. So I am using them up now.

Yep. I got the boraccho ones too. These are better. I also like their bean
dip. And I like that I can get the La Tiara taco shells from them. I think I
will have to wait till the next special. Don't need anything just yet.
