Wow. Haven't heard about those places in yrs. I grew up in Rancho
Cordova, back when it was a new lily white suburb of Sacto. New
housing for the Aerojet-General generation.

It seems quite international now. I've noticed quite a few Korean
restaurants and other Asian businesses along Folsom. And down Sunrise
there is a large concentration of auto dismantlers. Mather Air Base is
now commercial. Aerojet was involved in a couple of mergers but is stll
a presence in RC. Were they still growing hops in the area when you were
there?

Yep.

Worked on a hop ranch (farm) fer 3 summers during high school (RCHS).
This was not near Watt, where all hop farms were long gone by the 60s,
but way out on Sloughhouse Rd. Last time I looked, about 10 yrs ago,
Sloughhouse Rd was all "ranchettes" caternig to the wannabe horsey
set. Most hops are now grown in OR and WA.
