This is the first batch of goodies I made with some fresh yeast I was
given.

Two plain brioche loaves, one chocolate, one with pears and cardamom.

That would take all the fun out of it.

Were I 30 yrs younger but amid the foodie atmosphere prevalent these
days, I would have considered it, though.

operation. Running a bakery would be fine but working in one would not!

I had about a 12 hr weather break and got everything into the oven by
early in the morning, otherwise it would have been impossible.

When I got home from work yesterday, the temp IN the kitchen was 88.

I, too, am looking forward to fall and more baking.
