We have a counter directly opposite the kitchen window and so I set it out there until I made room in the kitchen. Of course it was tightly covered. We all forgot and it sat out there for several hours. It was for a vegan guest and it was made with soy milk. My question was about the properties of soy milk and if it would go bad. I ended up not serving it. That't the long and short of it. Nobody will eat at Julie Bove's house and so she has to make these bitter comments. Nellie |

She'd freak. I generally stick it on the (cold) gas grill and close the lid, so animals can't get at it. Works a treat. The great outdoors has a what might be considered an infinite capacity to absorb the heat, unlike my refrigerator. Cindy Hamilton |

There was nothing in there that would have gone bad except for maybe the soy milk. That was my question. Julie went and goes ballistic over it to this day. Interesting about the capacity to absorb the heat, never knew that. Nice to have that extra space. Folks at Lake Tahoe put food outside, but we won't do that because of the bears. It's just asking for trouble. We had one come into our garage as we were unpacking our car. It just looked at us and took off, thank goodness. They are really smart, they know what days are garbage days in the different 'hoods and hang out there on those days. Nellie |

Upside down means that you owe more on the mortgage than the house is worth. If you sell the house, the proceeds won't be enough to pay off the mortgage. If you own the house outright and sell it for less than you paid for it, then that's a capital gains loss. Cindy Hamilton --- Oh. Okay. I have heard many people use the term incorrectly then. |

It's just bullshit. No, it's not. This house was on the market for a long time before we bought it. The reason they gave for the would be sellers bailing out at the last minute did not pan out. They claimed it was because of the siding. I suspect not. However, that doesn't negate the fact that we have refinanced and signed papers stating that we would not sell. And even if we did sell? What then? We certainly can't afford to live anywhere else. |

As far as superior, most people here can cook circles around me and I am in awe of them. I learn so much. I do know what people like and I know what will go over well. I come here and to RFC on Facebook to get ideas and I do get lots of them. I get much happiness and joy from cooking and serving and getting people together. People have mentioned the lack of joy in her life and I totally agree. Lots of hate, no joy. Nellie --- And yet the only joy I see from you comes from being mean to others. |

But sadly, the personality she exhibits here is what used to be very common for people in that area. They just were not nice and acted like they were better than anyone else. This left a bad taste in people's mouth's up here in WA, especially when people from CA and the Bay area came flocking up here to live. Thankfully by the time we moved down there, I didn't see too many people like that. They may well have been all around me but I had little need to leave the military housing where we lived. Please note that I am not trying to bash all Californians. I have friends and relatives who live there. I am just basing this on what we saw when we visited the area. The first time I went there was in 1977. Seems to have gotten better since. |

Not that I disagree with any of that, but at least this time with the upside down mortgage issue, Julie admitted her error... eventually. Which is a first AFAIK. It was probably colder outside than in the fridge anyway at that time of year. I sometimes put stuff outside to cool during winter, WTF is she going on about 'mold' for? |
