From what I have read here, the former >administrators of RFC chat ruled with a heavy hand that chased most >people away. No surprise there :) There are good moderators, mostly average moderators, and some bad moderators out there. I had considerable misgivings becoming one myself, but I was asked to help out on a large forum despite that and to my own surprise it turns out I'm pretty good at it. On Usenet, I have no wish to see any censorship or moderation at all, beyond what one personally chooses to filter. |

I think she did using his persona (or ordered > him to do it). She was a crazy, two faced, bitch, he was nice. Oh wait! Soooo... Are you telling me that there *was* another Carol here? Because I well remember someone using the name of Carol who said that she had to bake gluten free things but she could eat spelt. And she spoke of buying things at the military commissary. cshenk said there was no other Carol. Who was this person? Maybe someone who really didn't shop at the commissary or eat gluten free and was just messing with me? I also remember someone threatening to kick someone out one night. I won't name names. Haven't seen either of them around here lately but she might still be here. I was told that he is only on FB now. He and I were having a conversation and he was saying things that I thought were funny but were annoying the mod. She didn't actually kick him out but I found it a tad annoying since the two of us and Boli had been chatting prior and we were all getting along just fine. |
