We have perhaps 2-3 more days of cool weather and then then heat will come.
Am waiting for my Amazon Fresh order now. Got everything to make a lot of meatloaf plus a few more things I'll be needing. Saves me from having to go to the store for just a few things. Meatloaf is one of the few things that I do like to freeze. |

Unless you are transportationless and incapacditated, you should visit your local grocers and meat markets and support them economically for your Maslowian Needs. Otherwise you will become dependent on an unsustainable Maslowian Need supplier and your local suppliers will dry up and die! THEN how will you eat when Amazon becomes unavailable? ;-) AHA!!! They offer me products I cannot find locally at any price. My wife gets some of her medical supplies through Amazon at half the price of other places and has them in two days, not a week. I needed a particular gas regulator and looked for it at some local stores on Saturday. Nope, can't get it for you. Ordered it from Amazon and it was at my door on Monday. |

Probably could have done a little better on prices if I went to Walmart and yes, I did try online but they had no dry mustard in stock in an amount that would be reasonable for me. I didn't have to go anywhere and the stuff will appear like magic on my doorstep in a day or two. Works for me! |

Nope, can't get it for you. Ordered it from Amazon and it > was at my door on Monday. Saves me a heck of a lot of time. I got Domebro powder (for rashes). I needed it and couldn't find it anywhere else locally or online. If I need hardware type things, it is easy for me to buy from them and then I know I am getting the right thing. If I go to Lowes I might spend an hour hunting through the store looking for the right thing or having to find a clerk who usually doesn't know. I once helped another customer find the Terro ant powder in there. Clerk told him they didn't sell it. I have learned now that if I need to get something like that right away to go to Ace Hardware. I do take my chances as they are a lot smaller than Lowes but they do have helpful clerks. When I was in the hospital, I used my Ipad and sent all of the medical supplies that I needed to my doorstep so they were there when I arrived. I also sent myself some food. Only problem that I have is that I need to restrain myself and try not to place more than one order per day. I am constantly wanting to buy things that are add on items. So I then go to my Wish List and pick a book or three to add up so I can get the add on. Then no sooner do I place the order but what I realize that I need something or someone else in the house needs something else that would have added enough dollars to where I wouldn't have needed the Wish List items. |

If you're ordering things online (food or not) it behooves you to know you'll pay sales tax unless it is shipped from another state. You never bother to read the fine print, do you? Jill |

Except for food which is not taxable here. The item they did not charge me tax on was not a food item. I have ordered it several times and am never charged tax. I don't think it's up to me to determine if they charged the right amount of tax or not. Even if they do come after me, it wouldn't amount to more than a couple of dollars. So I'm not worried. |

I have enough crazies > to deal with in my world without encouraging those who refuse to take > their meds. For the record, I never once even considered sleeping with you. And you know that. You're the one who somehow got the idea that I was going to move in with you - and you posted that to RFC just out of the total blue. After having met you twice at casual austin.food gatherings 2 or 3 years ago and not giving you any indication that there was any sort of romantic interest in the least, you somehow twisted that into MY MOVING IN WITH YOU? That was just way too Psycho for me. I sat there at stared at the screen for at least 15 minutes wondering, WTF? That was just way too spooky. I've met weird, semi-psycho women before but you win, hands down. Mapi of austin.general still holds the male title, but at least he announced his psychosis right there lying on the floor of the bar at B.D. Reilly's rather than romantically obsessing over me for 2 years. Needless to say, you need to come to terms with what happened and why your mind works that way and stop making up excuses for your fixation and disappointment before we become the next Yoli and Michael. I'd prefer you use a sniper rifle on me from a few hundred yards away. There you go - a reason for you to buy yet another gun and ammo. And Jeremy, I was just tired of your decade of bullshit and visions of grandeur about all these things you're "working on" or have not done in the past. Even posting a call for meetings with imaginary people about imaginary projects of yours at "the normal time and place", as if you are somebody important with a life. I'm pretty sure you're manic depressive mixed with habitual liar. Sorry I don't fit either of your Ideal Psycho Pal Profiles. -sw |

I look this up and it's all very convoluted. Apparently some states do require you to declare online purchases. I remember the last time I had to file NY taxes for my husband, it required me to put down all that he bought online. I highly doubt that he bought anything online. I did send him some things during hurricane Sandy such as food, blankets, batteries and a flashlight. They had a power outage and he had no way of getting these things locally. But since I was living here, I didn't declare them. Apparently CA requires to to declare this too. Not all states do. The item I bought sells for about $13.00 and I have probably bought it 5 or 6 times over the course of a couple of years. Pretty sure I have paid tax on everything else I have bought from them except for food and that is not taxable here. |

They were a life saver to me during the time I wasn't able to shop in real stores. I admit I've bought things I didn't really need and just wanted, but I do that in stores, too. Online shopping also helped my dad during his last few months of life to do things he wanted to do but couldn't go shopping, such as his hobby of beer making. He was even able to buy my mom gifts and since he was home all of the time, he could sneak them in without her knowing and she'd be more than surprised to receive a gift from him. ![]() -- ღ.¸¸.œ«*¨`*œ¶ Cheryl |
