Default How do they get MILK out of Soybeans and Nuts?

I have been seeing this stuff called SILK in the store. It's soy milk,
or there are almond and other nut milks. I ma lactose intolerant, so I
have not had milk in years. Although I can do without drinking milk, I
had to stop eating cereal. I tried water and it was horrid. And eating
cereal dry is no good.

I bought some of this soy milk, and it was great on cereal. I drank some
straight and it was tasty and I'll drink it again.

But I can not understand how they get "MILK" out of soy beans or nuts.
I'm guessing they press them, but I'd think there would be oil, not
milk. This has me puzzled.
