Default Fried Chicken Dinner from the Dataw Club 3/18/15

Big to do! It's Fried Chicken Night! The announcement:

Get there early or the price goes up to $12!

So I called ahead. Ordered fried chicken and went and picked it up.

This is what it looks like in the to-go box:

After that, I put it on a plate:

Photos don't begin to tell the tale. The early bird *does* get what
appears to be fried chicken that has been sitting under a heat lamp for
hours. (I wonder what it would have looked like if I'd waited until
after 6PM and paid more for it?)

Is that a piece of corn bread I see? Anyone have a magnifying glass?
The texture of the mashed potatoes suggests they came straight out of a box.

Oh well. It goes towards the dining minimum.

Ouch! I could get better for much less at Kroger. Fresher, too.
