That's nonsense too! I drink water every day. I have to take one of my pills with water and I take it an hour before I eat. I always sample the fruity water where my mom lives. I get some on the way in and on the way out. Angela and my husband drink water more than anything else. They prefer it. I drink mostly diet Coke but I have been making more tea now that the weather has finally gotten cool. |

Also referred to as pie pumpkin. I did once make a pumpkin pie from a carving type pumpkin only because I didn't know better. It was fine but a lot of work. Now if I want to make one I just buy the canned. |

LOLOL Why not? That is the only item they make that I will eat. I even make that kind at home although, I eat them on a plate as I am too lazy to fold the ends in. Oh and joy of joys! I found the Pico Pica taco sauce at Albertson's today. They seem to have done a bit of a remodel since I was there last. They are now owned by the same place that owns Safeway so... Dunno there since Safeway used to carry it. Just plop some refried beans, a sprinkle of chopped white onions and a stripe of the taco sauce into the tortilla and nuke it. Couldn't be quicker or easier. If I have more time, I will make a wet one and I might add more things to it. But if I am going out for real Mexican food, then a burrito is not what I will get. I can make those so easily and cheaply at home. Only reason I get the Taco Bell is that if you can believe this, it is the closest place that has the best food that we can get quickly by Angela's current recital venue. There are very few food places near there. Note that I do not think that Taco Bell has really good food but I do happen to like the bean burrito. I get it without the cheese. There is a weird place called Shake and Go. Burgers, milkshakes and a few other options. Owned and run by Asians who seem to not speak much English. No AC and they're not necessarily fast. Some sort of Asian place (not Chinese but can't remember exactly what) that got very bad reviews. Also a pseudo Mexican food place that got similarly bad reviews. All three in the same strip mall. The burger place does have some good food and some really awful food. Angela and my mom got some kind of wraps in there and hated them. But the lack of AC is a big drawback. I think there is also a Pizza Hut next to the Taco Bell. That is what most people get but we don't do pizza. I think there might possibly be a Subway somewhere around there, perhaps further down but neither of us like Subway either. So... Unless something has changed since last year, we will either be having the Taco Bell again or bring something from home. If the weather is not too warm, we can bring from home but if it is hot, we prefer to be able to sit for a half an hour or so with AC so... Taco Bell it is. That being said, the last time I got food from them prior was when we lived in Alameda. Note that I did not say that I ate the food. I could probably write a novel on that fiasco! I remember waiting in a very long line and discussing with some man how the term "fast food" did not apply to this location. There was much grumbling by my husband as well because it was taking so long. I had ordered a taco salad and asked for something or perhaps it was things to be left off. I remember specifically asking for no sour cream as I hate sour cream. I don't know if those salads come with dressing but I don't eat that either. Anyway... We got the food to go because they were so busy that we couldn't get a seat. I don't remember what my husband got for himself, if anything and I don't think that we got anything for Angela because I think she was still a baby. When we got the food home, there seemed to be very little salad in the big greasy shell but whatever they had put in it had been totally mixed together with tons of sour cream. I was furious! As I recall, my husband did eat it. He complained about it but did eat it. Then when Angela was a bit older, we bought a talking stuffed dog from the Express location at Travis AFB. It said, "Yo quero Taco Bell!" We never bought any food from the Taco Bell there although we did try things from some other places. There was a horrid sandwich shop called Robinhood or something like that. And Popeyes chicken which my husband claimed to love until he tried to eat that. Heh. And a yucky soft pretzel that I ate a piece of when I was having a hypo. Normally we just did our shopping then stopped at Marie Calendar's on the way home. I liked them because of the salad bar. Angela liked them because I always got a tiny apple on my plate and I would give it to her. They thought I was strange because I always asked for a side of vegetables for Angela. One the waitress flat out refused to sell me any, quoting a high price for a dish of corn or whatever they were serving at the time. So after that I would just sneak her some of my salad. I hate that kid's meals in most restaurants do not come with vegetables. And I think they wanted $8.95 for a kid to get the salad bar. She was less than 4 then so there is no way she would have eaten anywhere near enough salad to justify that price. |

I used to be in another ng where what Sheldon does here....the boob jokes, ass jokes, and word-changing what someone wrote was the common thing to do. It was welcome and even expected there. This is why I find his humor funny. I've seen it many times and I'm used to it. He would have fit right in there. As I mentioned before, he's just playing to the wrong audience in this group. He's a trolling tease here and many give him the responses that he's after. I actually laugh at the "offended" responses that he gets more than what he writes. G. PS to Sheldon - this defense will cost you $125 this time. ![]() |

Yes - sex for women is like it is for men: fun. If an old fart she likes wants to lavish her with toys then it's even better. The quid pro quo is the old fart has the momentary attention of an attractive young woman, so he has recaptured his youth for a while or at the very least is the envy of his equally old fart pals. AFAIC, it's an even exchange. The trouble starts when she stays in the relationship too long and develops real feelings for him. -- Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them. |

The phone call business is another matter entirely. Same here and the thread has gotten out of control as you can see from the milder comments. Sheldon is little potatoes in the debate that now rages. If his sense of humor offends anyone, they should kill file him and walk on. Carol -- |

Basically though, the humor did not translate as an older self learned. I am not saying Sheldon is 'funny', only that he has his own way and watching folks reply like he is the root of all abuse is not sitting well. Sheldon hasn't said anything worse than Benny Hill when you get right down to it. You might want to notice he's a universal offender, being just as offensive to the guys as the ladies and in the same ways. He enjoys finding people who can respond back in such a way as to show they have mettle. He has no respect for wusses. One of the posts accused me and people like me for being 50% of the problem. Nope. Not accepting that. It is not my problem nor ever will be my problem that some are weak willed and will not fight back or even tell the person they have a problem. If i see abuse, I will react but the other person is EXPECTED to also do something. When was the last time anyone saw Sheldon attempt to abuse me? 2011 maybe? -- |

He's a scum of the earth coward or he wouldn't continually make nasty remarks and change the of text of people he knows have him in their kill files. -- Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them. |
