When I started, I spotted a penny laying on the concrete floor. I wasn't about to pick it up but it was reassuring to see that thing laying there every morning I came to work. It stayed there for over 8 months. I even checked it once to verify that it wasn't epoxied to the ground. It was not. One day it was gone. I put another one as close to the spot as I can recall. That one was gone after a few days. This means that somebody new is working there that makes the effort to pick up a penny. It also means that the management hardly ever cleans the parking lot. Heh! I can't remember which parking lot it is in, but some place around here where we no longer go... There is a penny embedded in the blacktop. |
