Default OTish Multivitamins

In the past I bought some One a day vitamins. They were roughly the
size of a M&M. The batch I just bought are the size of horse pills.

I would prefer to take the smaller size, but I also wonder is the
smaller ones are more concentrated or just have proportionally less.

My wife takes multivitamins almost every day. I take one once every 3-5 days.
Taking *One A Day* seems like a waste of money. Also, buying name brand
vitamins instead of generic equivalents seems wasteful.

I take Centrum Silver (for adults 50+), well worth the few pennies
more. The tablets are smaller, coated and better configured for
easier swallowing. Just because generics indicate equal contents that
in no way means your body absorbs the ingredients equally... that's
true of Rx drugs too... the brand names typically have a better
delivery system, and usually are time release for even delivery
whereas generis disolve all at once so give a large dose initially and
then nothing. I've tried the equivalent generic to Centrum... the
tablets are huge, at least 30% larger, they have a weird configuration
with sharp edges and are not coated... real horse pills. I also tried
the "gummy" vitamins, they stick to my teeth and cause the mucous in
my throat to thicken... I finished the bottle by swallowing rather
then chewing. Years ago my doctors would tell me vitamins were a
waste of money but nowadays all my doctors recommend a daily multi
vitamin... I think because the vitamins have much improved and because
most people even though they try do not eat a well balanced diet...
for more foods are processed and fast food rather than home cooked
from scratch. Nowadays far more people eat out, ALL restaurant food
is garbage, lucky not to get food poisoning. I don't eat anything out
anymore, I do all my own cooking, and I consume lots of fresh veggies
and fruit, but most folks don't. I used to enjoy eating out
occasionally but over the last five years or so I've been very
disappointed in the food quality even in the better restos... prices
are higher, a lot higher, but food quality is lower, a lot lower. In
this economy everyone cheats, to stay in business they need to.

Sheldon, I also use Centrum Silver, I like it because they add Lycopene
and Lutein. I just hope I do not read newspaper headlines in the year
2020, that says, "Lycopene and Lutein, Nature's Biggest Killer!" lol

I'd say you're safe... I hear Lycopene and Lutein are breast
enhancers... you may need to buy larger bras. Not to worry, I can
help, I'm good with a palm and needle:

My eye doctor recommends that for the added benefit of eye health.

Why not take it, I figure, it can not hurt. One of our friends has
macular degeneration and her vision is very poor. I read that taking
lutein, zeaxanthin and antioxidants might help people like her.

How are you feeling, Cheryl?

This is CNN
http://edition.cnn.com/2013/12/16/he...amins-studies/

Since that article came out, I have asked a hematologist and a
nephrologist. Both say to keep taking a multivitamin.

Depends on what brand you buy. And even among brands what is in them will
vary. You can get some that say "mini". I wouldn't call them mini but they
are smaller than the regular kind. I can't remember the brand but they are
a reddish brown oval. I take the ones without copper because some studies
show that copper has been linked to Althzheimers.

Even with the One A Day there are different kinds.

For the record, I never once even considered sleeping with you. And
you know that. You're the one who somehow got the idea that I was
going to move in with you - and you posted that to RFC just out of the
total blue.

After having met you twice at casual austin.food gatherings 2 or 3
years ago and not giving you any indication that there was any sort of
romantic interest in the least, you somehow twisted that into MY
MOVING IN WITH YOU?

That was just way too Psycho for me. I sat there at stared at the
screen for at least 15 minutes wondering, WTF? That was just way too
spooky. I've met weird, semi-psycho women before but you win, hands
down. Mapi of austin.general still holds the male title, but at least
he announced his psychosis right there lying on the floor of the bar
at B.D. Reilly's rather than romantically obsessing over me for 2
years.

Needless to say, you need to come to terms with what happened and why
your mind works that way and stop making up excuses for your fixation
and disappointment before we become the next Yoli and Michael. I'd
prefer you use a sniper rifle on me from a few hundred yards away.
There you go - a reason for you to buy yet another gun and ammo.

And Jeremy, I was just tired of your decade of bullshit and visions of
grandeur about all these things you're "working on" or have not done
in the past. Even posting a call for meetings with imaginary people
about imaginary projects of yours at "the normal time and place", as
if you are somebody important with a life. I'm pretty sure you're
manic depressive mixed with habitual liar.

Sorry I don't fit either of your Ideal Psycho Pal Profiles.
