Yeah, right. I saw plenty of bacon at the grocery store. Also blocks
of Velveeta. It's marketing hype excuses to jack up the prices.

Thank God! We're saved!

Currently, since the last time I bought Velveeta it's been longer than
at least one lifetime. I can't speak for my earlier incarnactions
though.

You can't have a Super Bowl party without Velveeta and Rotela tomatoes
nuked into a dip. I know it's crap, but it's yummy crap and once a year
couldn't hurt.

Our local market is advertising the "recipe" in their flyers.

Well my tentative nature has abated somewhat, but having to watch the
Super Bowl, once again puts eating crap a little out of my reach.

I think you are right or, it's a very spotty shortage. When I went to the
supermarket yesterday, there was a large pallet loaded with Velveeta logs by
the endcap of one of the dairy aisles. The endcap itself was fully stocked
with Rotel. As best I can tell, there is no shortage in the STL area.

With regard to bacon; I suppose I wouldn't notice - have 3 pounds in the
freezer from the last sale - besides, I prefer smoked jowl (makes a great
JLT sandwich)

Add a pound of ground beef and a can of refried beans.
