Does anyone have opinions on the best type of crock pot to use for making
bone broth? I don't want to do this in my lodge cast iron crock pot because the amount of water involved will rust it. I am thinking some kind of ceramic crockpot or a ceramic covered cast iron might work well. I tried one of the electric plug-in slow cookers that runs extremely low heat for 24 hours, and I was underwhelmed by the quality of the broth. I'm trying to identify the right tool for the job, and the right conditions for creating the broth (oven, stove, and what temperature and time duration). -- W |
