Sorry, forgot about that...

We have petrol and gas - as in real gas - AKA LPG or propane as an
alternative (vehicle needs modification).

10 gallons? Thats a lot of grass...
Then again, my Murray rideo-on mower went through a whole tank if I
did all the lawn on the property when I first moved here. Forget how
many gallons but it's probably not dismilar to you when I think about
it. I ended up converting most of my lawn into pasture, I don't need
or want two acres of lawn Am actually considering selling the
ride-on now.

What the... $800!? I can't even begin to understand why it should cost
that much. A water pump should take less than an hour to fit and the
pump itself here would be well under $200... they must have at least
used a genuine Toyota pump.

Aha, that's what we here call and 80 series, very common here.
