The thin sliced ribeyes can be delicate so you'd have to proceed
carefully. It won't be possible to flatten them so you're stuck with the
size they come in. You could make small rolls and deep fry them. That
would be very tasty. I don't think they would take kindly to braising or
slow cooking. OTOH, I've never tried those methods. We have some thinly
sliced cross rib roasts that would probably braise great. I'll probably
make some rolls from that this week. Thanks for the recipe.

I was talking to a guy who was in San Francisco last week. His 19 year
old grandson seems to have disappeared in the area around Golden Gate
park. It seems that he's the third person to be missing under similar
circumstances in a short time. It's a strange thing.

Oh, no! Is he the one who had a traumatic brain injury a few weeks
before he disappeared? They need to do whatever they can to keep the
story alive. After those three girls/women were rescued in Cleveland,
you know anything is possible.

Indeed, that is the one. Evidently, it's tough to get the police
department interested in investigating missing persons. My understanding
is that there's only one person in the department that handles these
cases. I imagine him to be some guy in the basement all by himself that
messed up badly and got stuck on that detail.

As is the case with most big cities, they are under staffed and old
cases tend to be put on the back burner because there are new ones
every day - so it's up to the family to keep their story alive in the
press. Keep the faith!

It sounds like they've done about all they can do - hired a private
investigator, plastered his picture all over town, and conducted a
search of the park with several hundred volunteers.

Adults have the right to disappear without notice. The police will
start looking after 24 hours. And if they find them and the person
does not want anyone to know where they are, the police won't tell
the family or friends anything except the person is alive.

Children are a different story. The police get involved as soon as
they are notified.

You are correct about this. They won't listen to a complaint from the
parents who are concerned about threats to their kid once they reach 18.
We were told that my daughter had to file a complaint but that wasn't
ever going to happen. That's the breaks.
