I feel all the maniacal, rabid, irrational attacks the Democrats heaped on GW Bush really disfranchised people. Every time someone uses the term "Shub", compares GW Bush to Hitler, whines about how Mr. Bush stole the Presidential Election 4 years ago in Florida, criticizes the electoral college, etc, it just really alienates me. Michael More, Dixie Chicks, Et al did a fine job of making me re-examine whether or not I really wanted to vote for a Democratic candidate. If the democrats want to make inroad next election, they need to acknowledge that not all of the 59.5 Million people who voted for Mr. Bush are right-wing, religious, war-monging nut jobs and figure out why more people aren't buying what they're selling. Extending an olive branch, or at least refraining from illogical arguments and name calling might go a long way.
