I was wondering if the price will likely drop the day after St. Patrick's Day - specifically, at Market Basket/DeMoula's. (I don't feel comfortable asking them directly.)

Not that the price is bad right now - $1.69, I think - but I just wondered.

If you can buy it now for $1.69, I'd stock up. Prices here are $3.99 and
$4.99 (for a supposedly better brand).

I cooked the $1.88 corned beef today and it turned out really well. I made
it with red potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. I made enough to last through
the weekend since we will be in and out. I like the corned beef and cabbage,
dh likes all the rest with his. I was a little worried about the corned beef
at that price, but it is really flavorful, not terribly fat at all, and
tender.

Considering it's seasonal value/utility, I'd imagine Monday would be
the best time to stock up.
