Coffee with Liquor - What is good?
I went to a local bar during very cold weather and asked for a coffee.
The bartender said they have a coffee maker but no one ever drinks coffee in a bar. I said they should have it during cold weather and add liquor. A couple people in there said they would like to try that, so the bartender made a pot of coffee. However she had no idea what liquors go in coffee. I told her I have used peppermint schnapps, so that is what I had. A few other people had the same, and that is a good mix. One guy wanted Jack Daniels. He said it was good. I dont like whisky, so that was not for me. I was also thinking Anisette and Bailys Irish Cream as possible ones to try. Then there is that stuff called Fireball, it tastes like "red hot" candy,(Cinnamon). Not sure if that would be good or not? What other liquors go good in coffee? I'm thinking that some whipping cream on top would add to it too. |

My favorite is Bailey's Irish Cream in coffee (mmmmmm) but that stuff is good period! Hubby prefers Cask & Cream...always puts some in his morning coffee to get his heart started! <:} I like Kahlua in coke, but not so much in coffee. I use to make my own, and Bailey's too, which hubby liked better than the commercial, but wow! it's got to be really high in calories, and not safe anymore, I don't imagine, with raw eggs blended into it...haven't made it in many years.
