Egyptologists think the pyramids were built by farmers during the annual Inundation. In any case, Egypt had both chattel and debt slavery. Being sold into slavery for debt and being imprisoned for debt (as the Victorians did) are not that different. Cindy Hamilton |

Of course we see differently now but if were were living back then maybe not so much. |
