But I'm having a good day. Opened a packet of olives and found not only a
high proportion of lupini beans in there but also a bit of a green bean. My Boston Baked Beans seem on the right track now that I have cooked down the liquid. I also turned the crock up to high and left the lid off just while I took a shower. I know you aren't really supposed to do that but it did seem to evaporate the last bit of liquid that I couldn't fish out of there. |

I don't really get what is so exciting about loud noises, and how much do people pay for these things? And how many people will be at the emergency room tonight because of them. |

Not many fireworks here at all but a few. I think people just can't afford them. |

A really nice display over the lake that the city put on, and really nice private fireworks too. I love fireworks, and the smell afterwards. Cheri |

I only bought 5 this year. One had no wick. At least it was the $1.99 one. Mostly we just watch the neighbor's because they seem to be wealthy and can afford many of those $50 and up ones. It's just so coooold here. They say warm weather is coming but I'll believe it when I feel it. We just got too cold and had to come in. Plus all of the ones closest to us have stopped. But we can still hear them all around. |

There were more fireworks here last night. Caught me off guard and I thought neighbors were setting them off. I guess some places canceled due to power outages and rescheduled for last night. |

Lightning struck a tree in my backyard. Minutes earlier,5-10 , I made wish I could see lightning hit a tree, and I included, not mine. I didn't get to see the lightning, and it hit mine. Large pine, gonna cost me. Split down the middle, but still standing. Miss the really big booms of the 60's. They don't use them anymore at events. They shook the ground. Greg |

I still hear them going off, but they are at the distance I expect them to be and some of those booms are m80's. -- Food is an important part of a balanced diet. |

July 4 and New Year's Eve would be the ideal times to murder somebody. A gunshot wouldn't be suspicious. |

A gunshot wouldn't be suspicious. It got pretty loud around here last night too. It was so loud a neighbor came home to find that the dog had panicked and jumped though a window (yes, there was blood) - it hasn't been found yet AFAIK. -- Food is an important part of a balanced diet. |

Well it's not often that you find those in your olives! I found a bigger piece in the last bag. Green beans are one of my favorite foods so it was a nice surprise! |
