I never used much salt. I add it to cooking water but rarely add it to cooked food. I don't eat a lot of cold cuts and rarely ate prepared foods. I also did not eat a lot of fatty foods. My wife OTOH, uses a lot of extra salt and eats a lot of meat and fat. She has no cholesterol problems and no PB problems. Her father used to salt everything. He loved fat. His usual breakfast was two poached eggs with cheese on top, then salted. He is heart eventual gave out... in his sleep at 95. |
