Default Reducing salinity of Kimchi

Is it possible?
My Mother just gave me her entire last batch of kimchi claiming it was too
salty for her.

Since we disagree drastically on 'proper' salt content, I assumed I'd love
it.
Wow, it's like eating kimchi flavored salt.

Any ideas on how to tame the saltiness?
