You only see they in September to October outside. They don't fly till then. One day I noticed they were in my back door frame. It was only one day they did that trick. I think there were 100 that day. they were not there before. After spraying they did not come back to that spot. On the warm days this Sep. there could be easily 100-200 on the house. They can be very anoying. They fly onto your neck and clothing. They get into the house and are anoying. One day I got into my car in the morning. I noticed one in the door jam. Went to work, and the bug dropped somewhere I thought into the car. I start smelling stink bug and sit down, and feel something under my shirt ! Got that bugger out quick. Next year its war. I will seal all attic entry points, and make special traps. I heard they were all over, but the story goes they entered somewhere around Scranton, from China. Its really the Chinese Stink Bug. greg |

I have been in Pittsburgh most of my life. Also Mass,NM, Ca. The california desert gets variations. One year there was bugs where you could not walk without stepping on them The coyote used to sit near ground lamps and bite them from the air. I lived 7 years on the desert, both El Paso really high desert, and Ca. high desert. I always like to drive down to the low desert where it was -56 degrees warmer in the winter. I actually lived in southern NM at a missle range in the Army. Also spent some time near Ft Hood doing demos of RCAT's, including Ft. Reiley, and Ft. Bragg. They are talking of importing bugs that eat stink bugs. Then what ?? greg |

The singing gecko actually chirps like a small bird, very interesting. We have Texas anoles, the five-lined skink, the Easter fence lizard working day shifts and the two types of geckos working nights. I have a solar light on the patio and the geckos stay around it as it attracts bugs. The anoles lay their eggs in the pots on the patio and it is startling when they start hatching. The sparrows seem to know when the hatch is and come to eat them so I put hardware cloth on top of the pots to keep the sparrows away. I like the shift working lizards myself, cuts down on mosquitoes and other flying bugs that come to a light. Like Om we rarely use pesticides in the yard. |

Save the pesticides for Geico, those pests send way too much junk mail... any company sending me adverts once a week and more is ensuring that I'll never read any. |

I can't belive the junk mail I get from AARP try to get me to sign up. They could save a lot of money. greg |

I haven't received any AARP crapola for like five years now. But now I get tons of mail from Sears selling hearing aids, and no postage free envelope. Sometimes I write across the front "REFUSED - RETURN TO SENDER" and pop it into the mail slot.... eventually they will stop. |
