Those of us who can read were able to tell that Steve said that WATER is
what causes creosote to form, not grease.

From that very article:

Burning wood and fossil fuels at low temperature causes incomplete
combustion of the oils in the wood, which are off-gassed as volatiles in the
smoke. As the smoke rises through the chimney it cools, causing water,
carbon, and volatiles to condense on the interior surfaces of the chimney
flue. This leaves a black oily residue referred to as "creosote", which is
similar in composition to the commercial products by the same name, but with
a higher content of carbon black.

You, as always. Thanks for the reminder. When are you going to get your drug
habit under control?

I like to think I can read, but I didn't read THAT. He was, at best,
ambiguous.

A bit further up the thread Steve wrote:

"Humidity condenses smoke and soot and creates creosote on your meat."

That's pretty unambiguous; he merely reiterated the same notion later in the
thread.
