Default What is 'courgettes'?

I have a magazine-like cookbook of mediteranean recipes ('taste of Greece'
by Joanna Farrow and Jacqueline Clarke) and it uses names for some
ingredients that I just don't know what the American counterpart is. In one
recipe is calls for 1 large aubergine, which I know is egg plant, and 2
large courgettes. What are courgettes? Help!

Take Care,
Jack
