I have tried baklava from a number of different stores and restaurants
and have made it a few times. Some were better than others, but they
were all good.

Make it and you'll never go back to store bought.

Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get.

There is an advantage to store bought. You can buy one or two pieces.
There are only two of us here and a batch of baklava would destroy us if
he ate it before it went bad.

There used to be a stand in the St.Lawrence market in Toronto were they
sold baklava that sat in a big tray of honey syrup. It was amazing, but
I could never eat more than a very small piece. The nuts didn't help
either. I can't eat nuts anymore, so no baklava for me ;-(
