Finally watched it. Yikes!
Good to see they touched on Monsanto, the true evil empire. |

Touched on pretty much all facets of the social food issues. I watched it one Friday evening after dinner, and went to a Wedding in DC on Saturday evening. Was seated next to a couple in their mid-sixties who introduced themselves as the 'food scientist' couple. It didn't take long for the conversation to get pretty heated. :-) Another good movie in the same vain is 'King Corn'. An instant watch on Netflix. Jon |

I'll give King Corn a look. For an even deeper look at how really evil Monsanto is, watch the in-depth French documentary, The World According to Monsanto. Monsanto truly is out to own the World's food supply. Scary stuff. It's not on Netflix, but can be easily found elsewhere on the web. Fortunately, we'll all be dead --they themselves speeding our demise-- before they can conclude their treacherous scheme. ![]() nb |

"Food Inc" is a fascinating and terrifying documentary everybody needs to watch. I remember the unveiling of Monsanto long ago in Anaheim's Disneland. They did it with so much glitz and lack of sincerity even I felt something was off, and I was just a kid.

Something new to me, was Red Malabar Spinach, it is a perennial climber so we can grow it on a fence. Becca |

When our seasonal nursery reopens --any day now-- I plan to inquire about setting up a small hothouse garden. I want some real freakin' tomatoes, not those tasteless orbs sold in mrkts. I also want to check out the prices on grass fed beef, around here. The valley I live in is primarily beef cattle country, even if it is 8000 ft. nb |

The vegetables we grow sure seem to taste a lot better. Becca |
