Default Kale Soup

I guess some would call it refrigerator soup. I call it "I don't know
where in the heck I'm going with this soup"
I had some homemade chicken broth and half a can of whole peeled
tomatoes, that needed to be used.
I started digging through the refrigerator and here's what I ended up
with.

Close up.

Pretty darned good if I say so myself.

The step by step is on my blog if you are interested.

Just scrape off the bottom of the mower after mowing damp grass. Add
water and feed it to someone else. Yech

Kale makes for a nice texture in a medium-long simmering soup. I
always have to add little meatballs, no matter what becomes of it.

I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.

Looks good to me...

Indeed I am, thanks

Kale is my favourite veggie, I eat it nearly every day, usually raw in
salads or steamed/wilted.
So easy to grow as well! I'll have a go at making a Kale soup in the
next few days, been meaning to try Kale soup for quite some time.

I've seen quite a few kale recipes lately. I buy spinach, so I use
that and adjust the cooking times.

Last night one of the things I made was lentils with kale, rehydrated
porcini, and pepperoni. It was mighty tasty.

I also grow and eat plenty of (English) Spinach, another one easy to
grow, along with Silverbeet/Swiss/Rainbow Chard.
But Kale is still my favourite, it just has a certain taste and texture.
I can pick a few leaves of each, quickly steam them and eat it as-is. Yum.
