The T in TIAD stands for troll. Actually I've had spam pizza that was
edible but what shemp posted was far from a good recipe.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwww gag a maggot.................. I even hated Spam
when I was a small child....would not touch
that stuff.

I'd only eat it if there was nothing else to eat in the world and I
was starving..........seriously.

We were raised on it, it was mom and 3 kids. One Easter dinner was a
block of spam she'd studded with cloves and place atop one slice of
pineapple, that was our Easter ham. But usually it was fried or just
sliced out of can for a sandwich. Hell it was better then the dill
pickle and mayo sandwiches I was forced to make when there was nothing else.

My Mom used it too....but I still didn't eat it. I'd go vegetarian
for those meals ;-)

Mayo on white bread sandwiches. When we got those, we knew money was
really tight.

We ate a lot of "baloney" sandwiches. My Dad called it "Lonsdale
Ham"......(Lonsdale was a very poor section right outside of
Knoxville.) I actually liked balogna, but there was something about
the taste of Spam that I couldn't handle.

Ohhh yeah, women/waitress's made very little back then as well as
raising three kids by herself. I actually liked them, I often ate simply
white bread and mayo as a snack, probably why I needed a quad bypass at
age 54!

When I was a kid, I loved Spam. I haven't had it in a long time, who
knows, I might like it again. lol We were taught to eat everything, and
we did. My mother told me Friday, that she did not care for black
beans. We never heard that when I was a kid, if she did not like
something, she kept it to herself. I did the same thing, my children
were not aware that I am not fond of green lima beans.

We have something in common then, I'm probably the only other southerner
who doesn't eat "butter beans." I really like dried limas but not the rest.

I think for me my attraction to Spam was remembering those cans with
the key and watching my father roll off that metal strip and the drama
with wondering if he'd open it in one fell swoop... my mom would never
attempt that key. I guess Spam is a real Man's Meat... for me there
is nothing wussy about Spam. I suppose for real women there is
nothing wussy about eating real man's meat. hehe

Keep dreaming Sheldon. Maybe one day you will get another blow job, and
perhaps from a woman this time.

Default SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM...Lovely SPAM! Wonderful SPAAAAM!

I think SPAM can be made palatable, but of course none of the crap posted by
clueless AOL newbie Sheldon "Pussy" Katz qualifies.

My favorite pseudo-Hawaiian SPAM snack is ramen noodles with coconut milk,
ginger, chile-garlic sauce, SPAM, and baby corn. SPAM is also not bad when
cut into smallish cubes and tossed with angel-hair pasta, peas, and
béchamel.

I use the low-sodium SPAM for both those items; the regular is way too salty
for me.

Anybody else have a favorite SPAM snack? How about SPAM tacos with pineapple
(or mango) salsa, or scalloped sweet potatoes with SPAM? SPAM pot pie? Arroz
con SPAM?

(I haven't tried any of those ideas, but they seem potentially acceptable.)

Bob
