For dessert I had a slice of apple pie, and it wasn't until I had already taken a bite of the pie that I realized the apples inside the pie were moldy. I was so grossed out I went into the mens room to throw up, and one of the patrons informed the manager I was tossing my cookies in the mens room. When I got back to my seat, and the manager came over and asked if I was ok, and I explained the situation, he said "I guess we can take that pie off your bill." I told him he could take my entire meal off the bill as I wasn't sure if I would start puking again if I had to look at that piece of pie at my table. I got up and walked out and never set foot in Ruby Tuesday's again. Michael O'Connor - Modern Renaissance Man "I actually thought about voting for John Kerry before I decided to vote against him." |

It's a bit pricier ...not too painfully... than the Applebees and Chilis, but the food is the real deal. The first time I went I saw a Cobb salad go by and, not having tried one in decades, I ordered one too. It was huge! It had all the right ingredients and they were all fresh and of high quality. Real Blue cheese, Haas avocados, lean bacon, moist chicken breast, etc. It even had real blue cheese dressing, not that disgusting ranch crud with blue cheese bits in it ....an abomination that far too many restaurants have been foisting off on the brain-dead public for far too long. It was light years ahead of those tiresome old chicken-whatever Caesars that have outlived their trendiness. It was by far the best meat salad I've enjoyed in years, all for $8. If you see one, give 'em a try. I'm going back. nb |

While I agree (as long as you really mean "generally"), there are exceptions. Locally, their is a few Brio/Bravo restaurants which have maintained consistently good food. However, I don't know if this is true outside of my area (Greater Cincinnati.) The prices are quite acceptable as well. Otherwise, I also avoid most chains, except for breakfast and lunch on the run.
