That would be nice, but it's unlikely. Texas has historically voted Republican no matter what. <sigh> But, that's not going to keep me away from the polls this year! Kathryn Whitmire came out very early on in support of *** rights.... Texas has an interesting history of *very* progressive politicians/pundits...add Jim Hightower and Molly Ivins to the list.... LBJ was one of the most progressive politicians ever - say what you will about him but he came from a pretty poor background and knew what real grinding poverty was....it's unfortunate that his image is tarnished by Vietnam. In further political news didja hear that that IDIOT Alan Keyes is apparently going to run here in Illannoy for the GOP Senate seat in opposition to Barack Obama? Jeez, the dolt couldn't win in his home state of Maryland...what are people thinking? -- Best Greg |

Frankly I'd like to see a Badnarik presidency, but in my dreams. So the smallest "big gummint" will have to do. That would be Bush, in this case. |

That would be Bush, in this case. I'm not overly fond of Kerry either, but we need to get Bush out of there before he bankrupts the country! Kerry, to me, appears to at least be the lesser of two evils. Your precious Waffle Boy could probably win a lot of otherwise Bush votes close to the border by promising to crack down like crazy on the blatant illegal immigration. Bush is way too easy on the Mexican border. But I harbor no illusion that Ketchup Guy would tighten it. |
