Kathryn Whitmire came out very early on in support of *** rights....

Texas has an interesting history of *very* progressive
politicians/pundits...add Jim Hightower and Molly Ivins to the list....

LBJ was one of the most progressive politicians ever - say what you will
about him but he came from a pretty poor background and knew what real
grinding poverty was....it's unfortunate that his image is tarnished by
Vietnam.

In further political news didja hear that that IDIOT Alan Keyes is
apparently going to run here in Illannoy for the GOP Senate seat in
opposition to Barack Obama? Jeez, the dolt couldn't win in his home state
of Maryland...what are people thinking?
