Cargill controls the majority of producsers in both the chicken insustry and the poultry/livestock feed industry in Honduras. BTW, check out the websites for Cargill and ADM to see how they are vertically integrated and control everything from the financial institutions that loan money to farmers on up to grain storage, transportation, and production facilities. They even own utilities in some areas. It's rather enlightening. Sandi |
