It costs about the same as the Norton did but seems to work a lot better. DISCLAIMER: I don't work for them or know anybody that does. I'm not a doctor nor do I play one on TV. The virus can't spread that way. Mailwasher lets you delete mail from the server without ever downloading it in the first place. BTW, I run Norton on top of 'em both. Plus a hardware firewall in my wireless router with 128 encryption and ip address "munging". -- Steve If you look like your passport picture, you probably need the trip. |

I usually snip the header of my email that advertises Giant Company's Spam
Inspector but I have been plagued with the same problem you have been having. It is extremely stressful for me as I do a lot of work via email. It quarantines the bad email before it hits outlook and unclutters the email box. I still have to online and clear stuff of the web server. I have been trying the product referenced below and will likely purchase it. Conversely, if anyone knows of any other product, I would be grateful. j "Are you still wasting your time with spam?... Yo9u can chose from about 40 domain names, set up aliases for diffrent purposes, send mail with SMTP from anywhere you have a client mailer installed, and retreive with POP or IMAP. Best of all, easily configuarble virus and spam protection. I don't get any of those viruses (and I do post with my real address in some groups). -sw |

It depends on what kind of control Yahoo! gives you. My ISP has a web interface as well as POP3, and the web interface has some filter controls. Best regards, Bob |

I use Norton as antivirus, but still get about 20 to 30 e-mails a day from "microsoft" patches, warnings, et cetera. I don't know what the heck is going on, and I'm a step away from changing my main e-mail; something I would like to avoid since I have many important business and professional contacts through there, and am listed in a couple of guides under this e-mail. Any suggestions? Regards, Richard -- "..A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti..." Hannibal "The Cannibal" Silence Of The Lambs 1991 |

LOL). Thanks for answering John's question. I let DH handle the 'technical' stuff while I play on the cooking groups. -- Cyndi <Remove a "b" to reply> |
