OH , I remember this cake, I think several of us made this when she
first sent this recipe to RFC. It was a fun cake to make and eat- but
a horrible mess in the kitchen!!

I am so sorry to hear she has died.

She posted here for several years, she could not have been nicer. I
remember when she posted this link, it was in May 2005. I am surprised
it is still online. It is nice to see her face again.

She posted for many years before that. I remember when she hosted a
picnic/cook-in in one of the parks in Berkeley, and all the postings
about it. I think I was still in KY then, and I was so envious. She
posted about her marriage, and about the birth of her sons...and so
much more. She was a very, very regular poster here quite a few years
ago. Her name for herself was The Tabbouil Princess..

I never got to meet her, and I wish I had during my time in the bay
area.

It is too bad I could not make it to the cook-in/picnic, but I wanted to
go. It was in May of '98 and I had already scheduled a dive trip. I
did think about going, though, I remember emailing with sf at the time.

Unless you were here under another name, it was before your time.

I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.
