Default Dinner last night Sat 10Oct09

Got some lovely large lobster tails from a roadside van. Poached them in
butter (I long for a temperature-regulated poacher!) and served with yuzu
and ketjap manis over a bed of pea tendrils and garnished on the side with
avocado slices.

Started out with a pureed soup of garlic and fava beans, side dishes were
steamed choy sum and miso-pickled cucumbers, and we finished with a trifle
made from yellow cake, vanilla custard, poached loquats, almonds, and
whipped cream.

I got a wonderful "reward" later: I give *him* ten points out of ten -- all
three times! <giggle!>

"served with a".....? "over a bed of".....? "Garnished... with"? Are
you a menu writer or is this for real?

What's to wonder? I only had to look up yuzu, the rest being quite
easily understood. Would you have us believe terms like "bed of" and
"garnished" are beyond rfc denizens?

i hold no brief as to julana's identity or purpose, but it didn't sound
outlandish to me, either.
