Default If water is a food source (to you), I have this question for you

The question I have is about the GE Smart Water Filter for my GE
refridgerator. I was told by a Home Depot employee that the life time
of the filter The filters 500 gallons) depends on how many people in
the household, i.e. based on water usage per person. Since I live
alone and no visitor, he said, I can use it for 1 year but I am
concern about mold formation inside the filter which BTW uses
activated Carbon filtration.

Should I use it for 6 mos or 1 year or 9 mons?
