If water is a food source (to you), I have this question for you
The question I have is about the GE Smart Water Filter for my GE
refridgerator. I was told by a Home Depot employee that the life time of the filter The filters 500 gallons) depends on how many people in the household, i.e. based on water usage per person. Since I live alone and no visitor, he said, I can use it for 1 year but I am concern about mold formation inside the filter which BTW uses activated Carbon filtration. Should I use it for 6 mos or 1 year or 9 mons? |

I don't know what's in your water and nobody here does. Tom |

FYI, the water here is not too bad. The reason I asked is that one time, when I inquired about over-the- kitchen -counter water filter connected to the faucet, the sale perosn said that regardless of how much weater is used, the filter needs to be replaced every 6 mons due to mold. May be she said that because she knew that it'd not be cost effective (compared to buying gallon-size bottle water" to buy that thing if she said, "You can use it until 500 gallon of water have passed through it". |
