They are the children of Joe Kennedy, a rum runner at best. At some level
they are all hookers, selling a mission and buying our vote, and at the same
time setting a completely different standard for themselves. Adolph Obama is
in the same boat, or raft. He's legislating for himself a federal health
insurance benefit different than what the public will get. He won't have to
worry about about his age when he needs dialysis.

This really sucks, and somehow we don't see it.

You seem so bitter and twisted that your opinions don't matter a damn!

There was an article in the local paper about how many bootleggers
there were in the Ann Arbor area. Apparently, the Germans didn't
want to give up their beer. It was mostly for personal consumption,
though

My dad, who died in '72, used to talk about Prohibition. He worked in a
bakery and made delivery runs of yeast and sugar to houses hidden in the
coves along the shore on Buzzard's Bay, MA. He said many of the houses
had large spotlights facing the water to signal to boats when it was
safe to land "cargo".

Rum-running was a praise-worthy profession in those days.

Besides, I never heard that the senior Kennedy was personally involved
in the task, just that he sewed up the distribution rights to real
Scotch whiskey during Prohibition and cleaned up as a result when it was
repealed.
