3 jars, 5 bucks - OK I bit.
So what do I do with these instead of using it as a dip? I could make nachos but I can't eat a lot of carbs. So far I can only think of just pouring it over broccoli. Paul |

I bought some canned salsa from Raley's the other day at a buck a 16 oz. can. I'm eating it with Tostito's Scoopers and wish I'd bought more since it's gone from the store. It isn't as good as nearly all jarred salsa, but it's damned good for a buck. leo |

Most jarred salsa isn't very good. This stuff isn't even THAT good? You wish you'd bought more? Do you have ANY standards at all? > > leo --Bryan |

Hmmm ... 3 grams carbs per 31 gram serving. So that's 3 grams per 2 teaspoons. I can eat about 2 tablespoons per day. This stuff will last a long time I can see that now. Paul |

It looks as processed and pure as the day I opened it with no visible (or noticeable funk) signs of problems. It was opened and enjoyed once, then disappeared into the fridge for this long. I have contacted Frito Lays about this. This post is the only place on the interwebs I could find any post or site related to my question so I figured I'd throw in my 2 cents. I will post what frito lay's informs me of. > > > I'm betting tho' that that stuff is anything but low carb. > > > I'd have buyers remorse and take it back to the store! > > > Hmmm ... 3 grams carbs per 31 gram serving. *So that's 3 grams per 2 > > teaspoons. *I can eat about 2 tablespoons per day. > > > This stuff will last a long time I can see that now. > > > Paul > > The unopened jars will keep at least until the use-by-date and then > some. I'd be surprised if the sauce itself doesn't have a lot of carbs, but I guess what I'd do is some kind of veggie casserole -- maybe broccoli/onions/peppers, pour the cheese over, bake until bubbly? You'd pay $.033 more for just 1 jar instead of buying all 3. -sw |
