Default Surprise Lunch

Since I wasn't in the office on Friday, I didn't know that one of my co-
workers was planning on bringing in lunch for our small department today.

She bought excellent croissants from the French bakery and made sandwiches of
homemade chicken salad, Parma ham and provolone with a homemade mustard, and
thin-sliced tenderloin with a homemade horseradish dressing. Along with the
sandwiches we had a salad of spring greens with a homemade blackberry
vinaigrette (I must get that recipe). There was also a relish tray. For
dessert she had baked a caramelized coconut flan.

Everything was delicious and we only had one who opted for going out for, of
all things, McDonalds.

We don't have any regular schedule for doing these lunches, but every so
often one of us will bring in a homemade lunch for everyone.
