Default Jig's dinner ideas sought

For my Jig's dinner, I am going to do the obligatory corned beef, red
potatoes, cabbage and carrots, all in the crock pot.

What will yours consist of and which side dishes, if any, will you be
making as to give us some ideas.

Thanks,
Mark

I'm from newfoundland. A proper jigs dinner here (which in many homes
is still served up every sunday) consists of either salt beef or salt
riblets, cabbage potatoes carrots turnip and maybe some parsnip, peas
pudding, and usually a raisin or blueberry duff. Depending on what
part of the province you call home you might add to that either a
roast chicken or bit of roast beef, or for a big gathering a turkey
and dressing. Everything except the roast chicken/beef/turkey if
using is boiled up in a big ol pot on the stove, its not a proper jigs
if the windows aren't fogged up. Happy Paddy's day to ya!

I'm making corned beef and cabbage with potatoes. Leaving out the
carrots as we just had them with Friday night's pot roast. The only side
dish will be mustard.

I will be taking soda bread to a St. Pat's day party after supper.
