We use the Simply Jif, lower sodium, less sugar.

Jif, Peter Pan and Skippy are all garbage, but if you think Jif is
sweet, Skippy is really sweet. Peanut butter should NEVER contain
anything other than peanuts and salt. For invalids, who have trouble
stirring, they do make PB with natural, non-hydrogenated palm oil.

And Smuckers now makes a stirrer for their pb. It's a lid with
blades/beaters/whatever below, and a hand crank above. Screw the lid onto
the jar, and turn the crank. Available on their website.

I have not tried one, so don't know how well it may or may not work.

As long as I do not use too many dried cranberries, I can have that.
Thanks, I will give it a try.

..I store the unopened jar upside down until the day I open and stir.

Near the end of the jar, due mostly to other family members'
inattention to stirring, I add additional peanut oil, which I always
have around.

Cranberries are the bad guy for you? Well, knock me over with a

Dried cranberries are majorly sugared up.

She IS, apparently, concerned with diets. At least limiting carbs.
Robert Atkins wasn't a visionary, but he was a good popularizer.
Ketogenic diets work. Period.
Follow Atkins' instructions and you lose weight, mostly fat weight.

When I was faithful to Atkins, I was thin, but carbs are like heroin,
nicotine or alcohol. It's a bitch not to relapse.

We buy only peanut butter that is all natural and has no added salt or
sugar. It can be difficult to re-incorporate the oil but I solved that
problem with a stainless steel paint mixer chucked in a 3/8 inch
electric drill.

Does it come in extra chunky? If it does, I might give it a try.

My favorite peanut butter WAS Wild Oats, chunky. Probably
organic, if that was an option. Right now, I am using Trader
Joe's chunky. Unfortunately, I don't see an organic, chunky,
salted PB there now--or else it is made with Valencia peanuts,
which I dislike.

Hmmm. That's an interesting idea. I can't say I like mixing the
PB. (At least it does stay mixed for a while if you do that and
then refrigerate it though.)

I have a low salt Trader Joe's peanut butter right now. I hate
stirring it (yes, it's kept in the refrigerator) and I have to salt it
because it's so gd bland. I'm going back to Jif. :P

Then why get low-salt?

BTW, I saw no such lid with stirrer on the Smucker's site....

Hubby bought it even though he rarely to never eats PB. He's the one
who has cut back on salt and lucky me gets included in his no salt
purchases. I think he's becoming a salt nazi.

No thanks to stirring in any way. I want my Jif. :P LOL

You are right, Bryan, I am trying to watch my carbs. I can have the
recipe she gave, but I am out of celery. I am going to the store
tomorrow and I will try it.
